1 Arnold, R. Arthur The History of the Cotton Famine DEDICATION COPY From the fall of Sumter to the passing of the Public Works Act.
Saunders, Otley & Co., London 1864
First edition. The Dedication copy, inscribed the author to The Right Hon. Earl of Derby. Bound in dark green cloth with gilt device to upper cover and gilt titles to spine. xiv, 570, [16] pp. A VG copy that is showing some light marks, bumps and light rubbing to the boards, rubbing to the spine-ends and knocks to the corners. Internally firm, clean and securely-bound, save for a couple of slightly loose hinges and cracks to the endpapers. A very handsome copy indeed.
