First edition. Softcover - original coloured illustrated wrappers with a colour frontispiece, four full-page and 11 mono illustrations in the text by Arthur Rackham. Neat previous owner's name to front endpaper. A Good only example with spotting tears to the wraparound cover, which is partially separated from the text block. Internally clean and firmly-bound, however, with only light, scattered spotting; the penultimate (blank) page is a little torn and creased. A pleasing, if flawed, copy.

Maroon cloth boards are a little rubbed and bumped at the corners with a few light marks and splashes; the spine is a touch dulled. Otherwise, a clean and firmly-bound copy with just a little spotting to page-edges and earlly matter, and browning to the endpapers. A decent example.

Overall in excellent condition with some darkening to covers, offsetting to endpapers and small ink mark to rear board with is also on the fore edge but not affecting the margins or text. A scarce fashion realted item.
