In a bright, sharp wrapper showing some marks and minor chips to the corners and spine-edges. A decent copy in a particularly nice wrapper, now housed in a protective dust-wrapper covering.

Internally, clean and tightly-bound, though the half-tile hinge is cracked and the pages are noticeably tanned. Overall, a bright and clean example.

Second impression, printed a month after the first edition. A Very Good hardback in pale blue cloth boards, with no dust-wrapper. 421pp with 89 black-and-white photos. Front board bears an attractive tipped-in illustration bearing the author's name and his various modes of transport; blue titles to upper cover and gilt titles to spine; page-edges uncut. The corners are slightly bumped and there are a couple of short nicks to the cloth at the foot of the spine. Contents are clean, tightly-bound with some foxing to outer page-edges and a previous owner's name in crayon to front pastedown. Overall, a presentable example. Please note this is an original publication and NOT printed on demand.

Wheeler-Bennett who, amongst his many roles, assisted the British prosecution at the Nuremberg Trials. First edition. A superb, VG+ copy that is just slightly faded at the spine. The spine-ends are lightly rubbed and the lower corners are showing light knocks. Internally Fine.
