Illustrated by E.H. Shepard. Near Fine very bright, bumped copy with some offsetting to endpapers. In Good fresh dustwrapper, showing a darkening, rubbing and a little loss to spine. A very early reprint published only two years after, and in the same format (7/6) as the first edition.

First Deluxe Issue. The last three Pooh books were all produced in the deluxe form as first editions. This volume however was not. The earliest and by a margin least common is the seventh edition. Original full red calf, device and rules to upper board gilt, spine gilt extra, pictorial endpapers, all edges gilt. Ilustrated throughout by E.H. Shepard. VG showing minor wear with 2mm loss to base of spine. Ink mark to rear cover, contemporary inscription and small tape marks to front endpapers. Some light fingermarking to the text.
