From the library of Admiral Sir Arthur Palliser. Palliser has signed and dated the title page. A newspaper article has been tipped in to the front pastedown. Publisher's green cloth with gilt titles blocked in black to spine. Unclipped dust-wrapper. xxii, 664 pp.; portrait frontispiece, mono plates and numerous folding maps. A VG copy, slightly rubbed at the extremities and foxed at the page-edges, in a VG wrapper showing some chips to the upper edge (a little paper loss), light marks and some overall discolouration. Contents are clean and tight, with just a little light foxing to early and latter pages. Overall, a very handsome copy with an excellent naval association. Please note this is a heavy item and additional postage may be requested.
