Slight offsetting to the endpapers, otherwise very clean and bright internally. In original price clipped dustwrapper showing some overall wear, foxing and darkening to the spine. Two volumes bound into one. Third edition. Attractively bound in red half-morocco with maroon cloth boards; gilt titles and devices to spine. 521, 311 pp.; occasional b/w illustrations. Non-authorial ink gift dedication to a previous owner and a small label-removal shadow on front free endpaper. Else, a clean, tightly-bound copy with very light, very occasional scattered foxing. The boards are a touch bumped at the corners and the spine is a touch faded. Overall, a very decent, sound copy.

Nevertheless an excellent reference example.

Gilson E150 Five volumes, first limited editions thus. Uniformly bound in half green morocco with red labels and gilt titles and design to the spine. Overall a good tight set, showing some overall fading to brown on the spine and edge. Some rubbing and minor wear to edges and corners, but the hinges are still in excellent condition. All edges gilt and with no ink marks or writing internally. Heavy set some extra international shipping charges may apply.
