A study of the evolution of the craft...with a chapter on xylography by W. Thomas Smith. With over 200 illustrations in black and white, sixteen plates in colour. Bound in beige cloth, with black titles and vignette to upper cover; black titles to spine. Unclipped dust-wrapper. xviii, 271 pp. VG [some light spotting to the early and late matter and to the outer page-edges; some rubbing to the edges of the book itself], in a VG Minus wrapper that is showing some crease-wear and a few small, closed tears.
