This is the 1936 reissue (fifth impression) of Ruttledge's account of the ill-fated 1933 attempt on Everest., Large 8vo. xvi + 390 pp. Illustrated with 59 sepia-toned photographs; the four maps (three fold-out) are all present. Bound in blue cloth, with darker blue titles to upper cover and spine. VG+ in VG, dust-wrapper which is showing minor chips, a tiny spot of loss to the lower-edge of the front panel and light marks to the rear panel. Internally Fine, save for light spotting to preliminary and latter leaves, and to the outer page-edges. A lovely copy, unusual in such a condition.
