Kintner, deputy US commissioner at the United Nations' War Crimes Commission; a short letter to Hodge from Professor Hersch Lauterpacht, one of the foremost international lawyers of the 20th century and then editor of the British Year Book of International Law; a short letter to Hodge from George Brand, editor of the war crime trial law reports at the United Nations War Crimes Commission; a William Hodge compliments slip; a clipping (from an unknown publication) which gives a short precis of the trial; and a letter to Hodge from historian John W. Wheeler-Bennett who, amongst his many roles, assisted the British prosecution at the Nuremberg Trials. First edition. Bright red cloth binding, with blind-stamped colophon to front cover, gilt titles to spine. No dust-wrapper. li, 247 pp. ; with 35 black-and-white illustrations, including four folding maps. A superb, VG+ copy that is just slightly faded at the spine. The spine-ends are lightly rubbed and the lower corners are showing light knocks. Internally Fine.
