Two volumes bound into one. Third edition. Attractively bound in red half-morocco with maroon cloth boards; gilt titles and devices to spine. 521, 311 pp.; occasional b/w illustrations. Non-authorial ink gift dedication to a previous owner and a small label-removal shadow on front free endpaper. Else, a clean, tightly-bound copy with very light, very occasional scattered foxing. The boards are a touch bumped at the corners and the spine is a touch faded. Overall, a very decent, sound copy.
